Acupuncture for Trigger toe/turf toe

Years ago, I was diagnosed with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder and have been on a journey ever since to find relief from the painful symptoms of TMJ. I had oral surgery in Seattle, I wear a custom night guard, I was prescribed Relpax for the frequent headaches/migraines, I visited chiropractors, etc. FINALLY, found relief with Monica, as my acupuncture provider. I am grateful for her knowledge of unblocking the chi and restoring balance in my life. Monica is truly amazing!!

I came to Monica complaining of extreme fatigue that had been ongoing for a long time and had been getting worse over time. From the moment I entered Monica's care, I felt I was working with a true professional. No only is she obviously knowledgeable about acupuncture, but she knows and can explain to you in lay terms how your body works in relation to Chinese medical techniques and practices. Over the 12 weeks I was in her care, I saw steady improvement in my energy level to the point where I felt fully functional by the time we terminated treatment. I would and have recommended others to this healing modality and most specifically to Monica. I'm very grateful for her thorough, kind, caring and educated approach to healing.

For many years I dealt with upper respiratory issues including an extensive winter cough. Monica's acupuncture has resolved this and other medical issues that traditional medical treatments were unable to.

Symptoms of fatigue and weakness had set in my body from overwork and embodiment of emotional stress. I experienced profound response to my acupuncture treatments and herbs and my health improved drastically.

Monica's compassion and patience toward my condition and her understanding of Chinese medicine restored my energy (chi) and brought about a greater awareness of creating balance between yin and yang in my life. I continue to incorporate all aspects of Chinese medicine as a preventative measure and continue to reap great rewards in terms of my health, mental attitude and emotional well being.

My doctor told me that I had an elevated FSH level & that if it were any higher I wouldn’t be eligible for IVF. Because it was so high I had a lower chance of conceiving than other women in my age group.

This is when I decided to turn to acupuncture. I read a review about Monica from a lady who swore she was the reason her IVF worked and decided to give her a try.

When I explained everything to Monica, she said that there were definitely things she could help. During my next cycle my fertility signs returned & I know that was because of the acupuncture. Then an ultrasound revealed a dermoid cyst on my ovary that needed to be removed before we could proceed with IVF. I continued to see Monica and get healthier while awaiting the surgery. My husband also went to her to increase and improve his sperm count and motility.

I had the cyst removed and we were able to finally do our first and only IVF cycle. Monica was so accommodating during this time. She made sure she was available for us any time of the day while we were going through our procedure. She was there to give me a treatment before & after my embryo transfer which she had to come in on the weekend for.

We were very successful with our procedure, even with my elevated FSH level. A week and a half after the transfer we found out we were pregnant and a few weeks after that we found out we were having twins.

I really feel like if I were not seeing Monica during this time that I would not have become pregnant. She was understanding and very involved and interested in my overall health. I carried my twins to full term, even with my bicornuate uterus.

I was getting at least one migraine every week when I first went to Monica Legatt for treatment. Her acupuncture sessions, herbal combinations and dietary advice have played a major role in reducing headache incidents to an average of one a month. Though I have since learned to avoid certain migraine triggers, and have added a B2 supplement to my anti-migraine regimen, I credit my work with Monica for the largest part of my improvement as it was under her care that I first saw a reduction in headache frequency.

During my stay in Seattle last December you treated me for my endometriosis while I was in between cycles for IVF treatment. You also prescribed some Chinese herbs for me to take with me when I returned to France. Well, I have great news and want to extend to you my deepest appreciation for all of your help.

My CA125 (blood test marker for endometriosis) dropped from the 300's down to the 50's. I think the benefit of the acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs are difficult to dismiss. My IVF cycle resulted in a positive, and as of today, I am seven weeks pregnant, complete with healthy measurements and a strong heartbeat on ultrasound.

I  initially sought treatment from another acupuncturist. After several months of seeing little to no results, I made an appointment with Monica. A co-worker of mine had been seeing Monica for several months and insisted I give her a try. After my first treatment, many of the symptoms associated with the chronic illness I have been coping with since 1988, had subsided. The results continue to date and I have every intention on continuing treatment with Monica. She is a very wise professional that is really a pleasure to work with.
